The Council of Chairs is composed of the appointed chairpersons of all academic departments and the university librarian. The function of the council is to consider all matters pertaining to the functioning of the academic departments and, when appropriate, to advise the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs on matters for concern to departmental chairpersons.

Council Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the Month at 3:30 pm.

- 2010: Feb 4, Mar 4, Apr 1, May 6
Our next Council meeting is on November 5, 2009 at 3:30 (Refreshments will be served at 3:00.). The meeting will be held in 421 Belk Library.
